Ile aux Aigrettes

Ile aux Aigrettes is a small coral island (25 hectares) just off the coast of the town of Mahebourg. The island has been declared a nature conservation site and today is being preserved by the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation.


Glass bottom boat trip to Blue Bay Marine Park

The Blue Bay Marine Park, situated on the South East coast of Mauritius near Mahebourg, is one of the best places to see the beautiful marine life and to go for snorkeling in Mauritius. At the Marine Park, you can decide to see the underwater world onboard the boat through its glass bottom, or to jump into the water for some swimming and snorkeling.


Bois Cheri Tea Factory

Bois Chéri the first tea plantation in Mauritius dates back to 1892.


Naval Museum of Mahebourg

The colonial mansion housing the National History Museum, just south of the Mahébourg centre, used to belong to the Robillard family and played an important part in the island's history.


Mahebourg Market

Every Monday there is a big market / bazaar in the center of Mahebourg. The market is definitely worth a visit also for the non shoppers.


Biscuiterie Rault

The factory was founded by Jean Fabien Rault who originally produced the famous manioc biscuits, the first commercially manufactured biscuits sold in 1870.
